Adopt digital rights management to protect and gain revenue
from your streamed media.
Streaming Wizard is one of only a few registered Microsoft
Digital Rights Management (DRM) providers in the UK.
DRM is required for the secure delivery and use of media/digital
content on a computer, be it live or pre-recorded (on demand).
It allows content owners to:
- Digitally protect the opening and viewing of a piece of
media.
- Control who looks at the files.
- Control how long users can view the files for.
- Restrict re-distribution of material without their permission.
- Protect videos based upon their own unique business rules.
DRM also allows content owners to charge a fee for viewers to access
content, therefore providing them with revenue.

Digital Rights Management is achieved by encrypting your media files,
so they are unable to be played on a computer without obtaining an
appropriate license first.
A bespoke license will be programmed/arranged to specific terms and
conditions requested by the content owner, to suit their needs. The
license may include such details as:
- Login details
- Requirement to make payment
- Pay-per-view arrangement
- Subscription services
- Details on how frequently viewers can access the files (start and expiry dates)
- Free trials
- Gift certificates
- Secure viewing, disabling ability to copy or re-distribute files
When a viewer applies for a license, if they do not comply with all the terms and
conditions, a license will not be granted to access the media files.
If a license is successfully granted to a viewer, the license
is delivered and stored on their computer. Sharing or distribution
of DRM content, having obtained a license on a computer is
disabled.
The license conditions can be amended at any time.
DRM is the solution for securing the delivery of content over the internet and for
charging a fee to access content.
Streaming Wizard can advise and provide you with DRM to suit your individual business
requirements, including:
- Full encryption of the media content you want to protect
- Provision of full license management and delivery

subscriptions for their products
